Santa Monica House is proud to announce the arrival of its new mascot, Monica the Flamingo, a vibrant symbol of strength, resilience and hope for women in recovery.

Flamingos are known for their remarkable ability to stand tall, even on one leg, representing balance and perseverance through life’s challenges. Much like the women served at Santa Monica House, Monica embodies grace under pressure, reminding us all that healing is possible, even after life’s most difficult moments. Her presence reflects courage, confidence and the beauty of rising above adversity.

Monica the Flamingo will make special appearances throughout the year, offering encouragement, celebrating milestones and sharing important updates with the community. You may spot her highlighting program successes, posting uplifting thoughts and announcing key initiatives that support their mission.

She will also play a role in upcoming announcements, including exciting details about the Santa Monica House 2027 Spring Fundraiser.

With her bold spirit and uplifting message, Monica serves as a reminder to stand tall, stay balanced and keep moving forward no matter the journey…..and after all…she is PINK!
