Project Harmony invites the community to an evening of reflection, learning, and connection at Seen and Heard: Understanding Sex Trafficking Through Art & Voice on May 7 from 6–8 p.m. at Stories Coffee Company (11432 Davenport St). Light snacks will be provided as attendees gather for a meaningful experience centered on listening, learning and honoring survivor voice.
Through powerful artwork and spoken word created and shared by individuals with lived experience, guests will gain a deeper understanding of the resilience and healing of survivors while also confronting the harsh realities of exploitation. The evening will highlight how creative expression can help tell of experiences that are too often unseen and unheard.
The event will also feature a guided conversation designed to increase awareness of human trafficking, challenge common myths and shed light on how exploitation and abuse occur within our own community. Participants will leave with a stronger understanding of the warning signs of trafficking, ways to support survivors and practical steps that individuals can take to help prevent exploitation.
Seen and Heard offers a space for reflection, awareness, and community dialogue to ensure that survivors are not only seen but truly heard. More information available at projectharmony.com.
