On July 21, Project Harmony invites individuals, families and organizations to participate in National Be Someone Day, a day dedicated to protecting children through education, awareness and action.
Founded by Project Harmony and recognized nationally in partnership with National Day Calendar, National Be Someone Day reminds us that it takes just 10 seconds to make a difference in the life of a child. Those few seconds can be enough to notice when something isn’t right, listen when a child speaks up or commit to reporting suspected abuse.
Community members are encouraged to take the Be Someone pledge, donate items from Project Harmony’s wish list, make a monetary gift and share their commitment on social media using #BeSomeoneDay. Donations of $250 or more will be recognized on Project Harmony’s Be Someone Wall, honoring those who invest in safer futures for children.
“Every child deserves a safe, supportive adult they can trust,” said Angela Roeber, Chief Communications Officer at Project Harmony. “National Be Someone Day empowers each of us to be part of the solution by learning the signs of abuse, taking action and creating hope for children.”
