The Pinot, Pigs & Poets Committee, in collaboration with the Nebraska Pork Producers Association, recently held its 2014 kick-off meeting for the 5th annual Pinot, Pigs & Poets at Happy Hollow Club. The much-anticipated event will be held at Happy Hollow Club on June 12. All proceeds go toward the Completely KIDS weekend and after-school food programs. Pinot, Pigs & Poets will feature more than 30 outstanding Pinot Noir wines and savory pork dishes (hog heaven cuisine) from renowned Omaha chefs. The evening will also include quick-witted slam poetry, and vintner and chef competitions. The Nebraska Pork Producers Association sponsors the successful Taste of Elegance Chef Competition, which awards the winning chef a trip to the 2015 Pork Summit at the Greystone Campus of the Culinary Institute of America in St. Helena, Calif.
