Pear Tree Performing Arts is receiving local and national recognition by the Omaha Community Foundation and Dance Studio Life Magazine for its programs and commitment to community.

Pear Tree Performing Arts is a recipient of the 2014 African American Unity Fund Grant through the Omaha Community Foundation.  The grant’s mission is to provide support to emerging nonprofits that improve the quality of life for African Americans in Omaha.

The budding nonprofit performing arts academy is also highlighted in the September issue of Dance Studio Life Magazine, a national publication, for its advocacy and nonprofit endeavors.

In an article entitled “Nonprofits: Step-By-Step,” Pear Tree Performing Arts CEO/Artistic Director, Natasha Partridge-Butler is described as a community advocate and speaks passionately about the work and mission of her organization.  “We believe we are a beacon of hope, positivity, and leadership in our community,” says Partridge-Butler. ”Pear Tree Performing Arts advocates for children and families in the community by teaching and demonstrating the principles that the organization are founded upon: culture, confidence, community, and creativity. “
