Local youth mentoring and goal setting program, Partnership 4 Kids (P4K), recently announced that the agency has been selected to receive a $10,000 grant from the Lincoln Financial Foundation. The funding will be utilized for P4K’s middle and high school programs designed to help participating students make their transitions to middle and high school more successful.

The elements of the program which include strengths-based leadership curriculum from Gallup StrengthsFinder and StrengthsQuest, integrity seminars with Youth Ethics Alliance, and service projects through the UNO Service Learning Academy focus on building students’ development of a positive self-outlook, healthy peer relationships, sense of personal ethics, leadership skills, future orientation. The program also engages students to formalize their education and career goals and assists them in developing an effective plan to achieve those goals.  Agency staff believes this particular combination of program elements is filling a critical niche within Omaha’s collective focus on youth academic success.

Partnership 4 Kids is a goal setting and group mentoring program that builds hope for underserved students and helps them create a foundation for success from kindergarten to careers. The agency has been serving the youth of Omaha for 25 years and currently reaches 4,500 students.  For more information about Partnership 4 Kids (P4K), call (402) 930-3002 or visit www.p4k.org.
