Open Door Mission Presents Virtual 5K Run/Walk, Volun-Thursday Events

Open Door Mission (www.opendoormission.org) is excited to announce the events they are hosting in honor of SHARE Omaha’s Do Good Days. First, they are pleased to present their Breaking the Cycle Virtual 5K Run/Walk during May 15 – 21. By “virtual”, they mean anywhere! You’ll have the opportunity to participate in the 5K Run/Walk from any location that works best for you. So whether it’s your neighborhood, downtown, in a state park, or even a different city, your participation will help make a difference in the lives of the hungry and homeless. Your registration fee of $36.31 provides a night of safe shelter, nutritious meals, and quality care. Sign up at opendoormission.org/events/breaking-the-cycle-5k.

For Wish List Wednesday, you can shop Open Door Mission’s Amazon Wish List at amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2NX0I0DKAL2V2?ref_=wl_fv_le.

Next up, there are many opportunities to volunteer on Volun-Thursday on May 19! Feed the hungry by helping Open Door Mission assemble 1,000 sandwiches and sack lunches from 9 – 11 a.m., or sort food from 1 – 3 p.m. You can also volunteer during a special Family Night at Lydia House from 6 – 8 p.m. Find out more info on volunteering at opendoormission.org/events/do-good-days.
