Open Door Mission Invites Volunteers to Attend Diaper Unloading Party December 29

Open Door Mission (www.opendoormission.org) is searching for volunteers to bundle up on December 29 and attend their Diaper Unloading Party to help unload and sort diapers collected during Channel 94.1’s 18th Annual Diaper Drive at the Linden Market Hy-Vee, located at 747 N132nd St. The diaper drive will be held on December 10 and 11, where they will collect diapers from individuals, families, groups, and businesses that stop by. The diapers will be given to parents experiencing homelessness at Lydia House and given out in Open Door Mission’s Outreach Centers as part of homeless prevention.

Volunteers will unload and sort the diapers on the Open Door Mission Campus, located at 2828 N 23rd St. E. The Diaper Unloading Party will start at 10 a.m., and volunteers will receive soup and hot chocolate for their contribution. Those interested in volunteering can sign up online at www.opendoormission.org/volunteer.
