Omaha Home for Boys to Host Michael Oher as Keynote Speaker for Annual Fundraiser

Omaha Home for Boys (OHB) (OHB.org) is excited to announce that Michael Oher will be the featured keynote speaker at its 100 Year Anniversary Celebration taking place October 8 at the CHI Health Center Omaha.

Michael Oher is no stranger to adversity. His inspiring journey from the streets of Memphis to the NFL is portrayed in the Academy Award nominated movie The Blind Side. Oher was a first round NFL Draft pick and a 2013 Super Bowl Champion with the Baltimore Ravens. He is also the author of the New York Times Best Seller, I Beat the Odds: From Homelessness to the Blind Side and Beyond. Oher will bring his message of resilience and hope to OHB’s 100 Year Anniversary Celebration.

OHB invites the community to help them celebrate their milestone 100-year anniversary and support the youth, young adults, and families served by OHB.

Omaha Home for Boys empowers at-risk youth with the skills and confidence needed to transition from a state of crisis to that of safety and growth.
