Omaha Heart and Stroke Ball Set for February 6th

Mark your calendar for February 6, 2016, as the American Heart Association brings the 28th Annual Omaha Heart and Stroke Ball to the Embassy Suites – La Vista. Chaired by Tim and Terri Burke with honorary chairs Gary and Carol Perkins, the Omaha Heart and Stroke Ball, this year themed “Heart of Gold,” is the annual black-tie gala benefiting the American Heart Association’s lifesaving mission of building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. Nearly 1,000 individuals from Omaha’s business, medical and social communities are expected to attend.

Tables and individual tickets for the event are on sale now at OmahaHeartBall.org. For information on sponsorship opportunities, contact Ashley Christensen at (402) 810-6842.

The evening, hosted by WOWT 6 News anchors John Knicely and Malorie Maddox, starts with a silent auction and then moves on to dinner with live entertainment. Heart Prince Colin Petersen of Albion, NE, who had a heart transplant at Children’s Hospital and Medical Center in October 2014, will also be honored during the Heart and Stoke Ball, which celebrates the American Heart Association’s work and mission, and the lives saved and improved because of our donors and volunteers.

The 2015 Omaha Heart and Stroke Ball raised over $700,000 for the American Heart Association. In 2015, the American Heart Association funded $2.68 million for 15 new and continuing studies in Nebraska alone.
