OHB Opens New Crisis Stabilization Program

Omaha Home for Boys (OHB.org) is excited to announce that it has added a Crisis Stabilization program to its continuum of care. The Crisis Stabilization program provides a therapeutic environment in which youth ages 12 to 18 can achieve stabilization until they are able to transition home or to an out-of-home placement.

“Our new Crisis Stabilization program benefits youth in the Omaha community who need removed from a crisis situation,” said Brandy Gustoff, chief program officer at OHB. “While youth are in our program, they will receive therapy, support, shelter and education to help them minimize the anxiety and stress related with the trauma they’ve experienced.”

The launch of OHB’s Crisis Stabilization program fills a critical need in the community for short-term placement of youth who need to be removed from an unstable, unsafe environment. The program serves as an alternative to placing youth in a detention center.

The Crisis Stabilization program expands OHB’s continuum of care that also includes group home, transitional living, independent living, clinical services, and supportive housing.

With the launch of the Crisis Stabilization program also come a number of career opportunities. OHB is currently seeking passionate, dedicated individuals to fill several job openings in the new program.

For nearly 100 years, Omaha Home for Boys has been empowering at-risk youth with the skills and confidence needed to transition from a state of crisis to that of safety and growth. They serve more than 300 young men and women annually through their core programs. Please visit OHB.org for more information or to view current job openings and apply.
