Midlands Community Foundation raised $62,000 at its 2026 golf tournament at Oak Hills Country Club on Monday, May 18. The tournament was sold out with 36 teams participating.

In addition to supporting MCF’s grants program, a portion of the tournament proceeds benefits special nonprofit initiatives in Cass and Sarpy counties each year. This year the Cass County Fair and Sarpy County Fair were selected as recipients. Funds will support improvements to the fairgrounds and facilities. Through the generous contributions of tournament sponsors and participants, including Double Eagle Sponsor National Association of State Directors of Veterans Affairs (NASDVA), the beneficiary organizations are the Cass County Agricultural Society and the Sarpy County Agricultural Society; the organizers of the respective county fairs.

The winners of MCF’s Annual Golf Tournament were Andy Cox, Jason Pfenning, Abby Kurmel, and Bryce Havlovic golfing for CharterWest Bank.

“We deeply appreciate the tremendous support shown for our golf tournament,” said Diane Knicky. “That enthusiasm demonstrates the confidence our community places in MCF’s ability to strengthen local organizations, such as county fairs, that honor the traditions of Cass and Sarpy counties while encouraging growth and opportunities for young people. We’re truly honored by that trust.”
