Raising money for the local Food Bank Network is at the heart of a new initiative based upon reallocating funds to improve our local community.  The mission of Light The Bridge is to promote New-Age Corporate Philanthropy, the synergistic idea that large corporations should always be good community partners.  In exchange for helping less fortunate people in our local community, where these corporations do business, Light the Bridge seeks to publicly recognize these contributions.

The proposed permanent, physical memorial will keep the issue of hunger in America before the public, as a reminder of both corporate support and the continuing need for help.  Chosen for this project are the local area casinos, Harrah’s, Harrah’s Horseshoe and Ameristar, as donating corporations and the Union Pacific Railroad bridge that crosses the Missouri River as the symbol of new-age corporate philanthropy.

Light The Bridge wants your feedback on this groundbreaking idea, including comments and a vote in support or against the initiative itself.  Visit lightthebridge.org to find out more about Light The Bridge and cast your vote today!  Any questions or comments may be directed to stan@lightthebridge.org.
