Kids Can Community Center “Can Do Awards Luncheon” Set for April 18

Kids Can Community Center (www.kidscan.org) is proud to announce that the Can Do Awards Luncheon will be held on Thursday, April 18 at the Omaha Marriott in the Capitol District from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

This year’s keynote speaker will be Dr. Cheryl Logan. Dr. Logan began her position as superintendent of Omaha Public Schools in July of 2018, coming from the School District of Philadelphia. There she served as chief academic officer, responsible for the academic achievement of more than 135,000 students. Dr. Logan has spent her career in education working in school districts with large immigrant populations, including students from significant English Language Learner populations. Additionally, several community members will be acknowledged as Can Do award recipients for their work in their community.

Kids Can Community Center is a youth-serving agency whose mission is to educate, engage, and inspire children through early childhood care and out-of-school experiences. They are a state-licensed childcare provider for children ages 18-months to 13-years old, offering full-day early childhood education and out-of-school programs.
