Hiya (goshophiya.com) is proud to announce a new partnership with the International Children’s Advisory Network (iCAN) and the official launch of a local Omaha chapter titled the “Hiya Youth Leadership Network.”
This partnership marks an important milestone in Hiya’s continued commitment to youth mental wellness, advocacy, and leadership development. Hiya will work alongside iCAN’s global network to elevate youth voice and create opportunities for young people and families to engage in research, healthcare dialogue, and community impact.
The Hiya Youth Leadership Network will operate as an iCAN chapter, empowering youth in Omaha to participate in leadership activities, advisory opportunities, and collaborative learning that connect local perspectives to global conversations on pediatric health and mental wellness. The chapter will be supported by adults while centering youth voice, lived experience, and peer-led engagement.
“Partnering with iCAN allows us to expand Hiya’s mission powerfully,” said Alejandra Wells, the founder of The Hiya Foundation. “The Hiya Youth Leadership Network creates a pathway for young people to lead, learn, and advocate not just for themselves, but for children and families everywhere.” iCAN is a nonprofit, worldwide consortium of KIDS chapters that works to ensure children and families have a voice in medicine, research, science, and innovation.
