The open road will once again roar with purpose as Heroes Honor Ride (heroeshonorride.org), a nonprofit motorcycle event honoring America’s heroes, returns to Sturgis next August. The ride unites veterans, first responders and patriotic riders from across the country to celebrate courage, sacrifice and service.

Founded to “honor your American hero,” Heroes Honor Ride gives participants the chance to dedicate their ride to a specific hero—whether a veteran, police officer, firefighter, EMT or loved one who embodies service and selflessness.

“Every mile we ride is a tribute to someone who’s made a difference,” said Brian Thamm, vice president of Heroes Honor Ride. “This event is about uniting people through respect, gratitude and the shared belief that heroes deserve to be remembered and honored.”

The police escorted ride begins in Belle Fourche, South Dakota, and concludes at the legendary Buffalo Chip, where participants are greeted with live entertainment, recognition ceremonies and opportunities to connect with veteran and first responder support organizations.

As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Heroes Honor Ride donates proceeds to programs supporting mental health, recovery and community initiatives for first responders and veterans.

Registration is now open at heroeshonorride.org. Riders and sponsors are encouraged to register early, as space is limited for this year’s event.
