Heartland Hope Mission Offers Ways to Give Back through Christmas in South O Program

This holiday season, Heartland Hope Mission (HeartlandHopeMission.org) will be helping over 1,200 children with toys, food, and more through their Christmas in South O program. There are many ways for the community to get involved and give back.

Giving Tree Toy Drive: Collect new and unwrapped toys. Heartland Hope Mission provides the ornaments, marketing materials, and will pick up the gifts once the drive is complete. Email Renae@HeartlandHopeMission.org for more information.

Volunteer: There are multiple shifts available December 12–19 to sort and distribute toys at Heartland Hope Mission’s Christmas event. Email Amanda@HeartlandHopeMission.org to sign up.

Donate Christmas cookies: You can help by donating store bought cookies to distribute to families. Email Amanda@HeartlandHopeMission.org for details.

Donate monetarily: Only $124 will help a family of four for a month at Heartland Hope Mission this holiday season. Donations can be made on the website.

Heartland Hope Mission serves working poor families and those who may be facing a crisis situation with a week’s supply of food, clothing, diapers, job resources, and community referrals. Parents or legal guardians who need help with Christmas gifts for their children can register in the month of November at either of the Heartland Hope Mission pantries. The South Omaha Pantry is located at 2021 U St.; the Millard Pantry is at 5321 S. 139th Plz.
