Heartland Family Service Seeks Sponsors for Strike a Chord Gala

Heartland Family Service (HFS) (HeartlandFamilyService.org) is in need of sponsorships for the upcoming Strike a Chord Gala on Friday, June 14, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Mid-America Center. The 2019 fundraising goal is $94,000 to continue to make life-changing services possible for our southwest Iowa neighbors in need. This music-inspired event features live entertainment, hors d’oeuvres, games, silent and live auctions, dinner, and the video presentations of the Salute to Leadership and Salute to Achievement awards.

All proceeds will benefit Heartland Family Service’s southwest Iowa programming, including a K-12 Therapeutic School for students with major mental health diagnoses; housing and support services for families experiencing homelessness; professional mental health counseling for children and their parents; and community prevention education and treatment for those struggling with substance use and problem gambling.

The mission of Heartland Family Service is to strengthen individuals and families in our community through education, counseling, and support services. Founded in 1875, Heartland Family Service currently serves more than 52,000 individuals of all ages each year from over 15 locations in east central Nebraska and southwest Iowa.
