Heartland Equine Therapeutic Riding Academy Presents Horse Sponsorship Fund

Heartland Equine Therapeutic Riding Academy (HETRA; www.HETRA.org) is extending the opportunity to sponsor the horses in their HETRA Herd through the Horse Sponsorship Fund. The horses are a very valuable part of the HETRA team, but they are also one of the most costly parts of the program. Each equine partner costs approximately $350 per month to feed and care for, totaling $4,000 annually. With over 20 horses in the herd, that adds up quickly.

Sponsoring a horse comes with great pride in knowing that you are changing lives one stride at a time. From developing core strength to calming anxiety to building self-esteem, horse sponsorships provide the necessary care these incredible horses need to make a positive impact on all who seek equine-assisted activities. Imagine what it feels like to sponsor a horse, knowing that horse is playing a significant role in the physical improvement and development of children and adults with disabilities. HETRA serves over 130 individuals with disabilities each week.

There are different horse sponsorship levels available. One-year sponsors will receive recognition on HETRA’s website, Facebook and Twitter accounts, as well as in the Annual Report and Newsletter. Sponsors at this level will also have a plaque on the horse’s stall recognizing their generous donation!
