Foster Care Closet (fostercarecloset.org) has been giving clothes to kids for 18 years. They are passionate about restoring dignity to youth in crisis and make sure to ask kids what they want when they come to the stores and shopping events. They work hard to have clothes kids can feel confident and comfortable in.
This year they have to move their facility from the Bottling Company building at 25th and Randolph to a new location at 643 S 25th St. This move will be expensive but is necessary for the growth they are having. They are hoping to find a facility that can house all of the clothes we have been purchasing in one level to ease the frustrations they currently have with their multi-level space.
They’re looking for:
- Backpacks and Duffle Bags – all sizes
- Pull-ups – in all sizes for boys and girls – especially size 4/5
- Diapers – in all sizes 4, 5, 6
- New Pajamas – boys and girls in all sizes
- Dental Health Supplies – kid flavored toothpaste
- Twin Size Fleece Blankets – especially for teen children
- Hair Care Products – shampoo/conditioner, combs, brushes – please remember they have children of all nationalities entering into foster care and we need hair care products for all hair types
- Personal Hygiene Products
- New Car Seats – for babies and small children.
