Cornhusker Bank Partners with Stephen Center for One Day Without Shoes Program

Cornhusker Bank is partnering with the Stephen Center in Omaha for “One Day Without Shoes” to collect and provide shoes for homeless people in the area. This is a collaborative effort with local businesses who volunteer to help the bank collect new and wearable used shoes for free distribution by the Stephen Center. The shoe drive will run through September 14, but the Stephen Center is always happy to accept donations at any time of the year.

Cornhusker Bank started One Day Without Shoes in 2011 as another way to give back to the community. In the nine-year history of the event, they have collected more than 160,000 pairs of shoes and monetary donations of more than $77,000. All shoes and any cash donations collected during the Omaha shoe drive will remain in Omaha for distribution. Drop-off locations include: Cornhusker Bank, 11102 Blondo St.; Woods Aikten Law Firm, 10250 Regency Cir.; Prchal Petersen Group, 11102 Blondo St.; Viewpointe Vision, 9412 Giles Rd. and 304 N 179th St.; Trios Salon, 3525 N 147th St.; and The Premier Advisory Group, LLC, 11605 Miracle Hills Dr.
