Community Health Charities of Nebraska Changes Name Back to CHAD
Effective July 1, Community Health Charities of Nebraska has changed its name back to its original name, CHAD (Combined Health Agencies Drive; www.chadnebraska.org).
“This opportunity lets us revert back to being a totally local and unique entity in the state and the country,” said Michelle Grossman, president and CEO. “Many of our donors, volunteers and community partners remember us as CHAD, so we are excited to move forward with a name from our past and let our future as an organization reflect all the great work and history the CHAD name encompasses.”
Since 1972, the organization has raised funds for Nebraska’s premier health charities, distributing more than $56 million since its inception to its local members to make sure all Nebraskans affected by health issues have access to the resources and support they need. CHAD began operating as Community Health Charities of Nebraska in 2005.
As CHAD, the organization will continue to fundraise for its existing member charities in workplace giving campaigns across the state, raising dollars to support its members’ missions. In Lancaster, Douglas, Sarpy and Pottawattamie Counties, the organization has contracts with United Way, but it operates independently in Greater Nebraska.
