Mosaic in Omaha (mosaicinfo.org) is excited to welcome Angie Tunink as their new resource development manager. Angie comes to Mosaic from the Organic Crop Improvement Association (OCIA) in Lincoln where she served over 16 years as the marketing director promoting and fundraising for programs that help farmers and processors transition to certified organic methods. For over half of her time at OCIA, she also served as executive director of OCIA Research and Education, a charitable nonprofit that funds organic farming research projects throughout the world.

Prior to OCIA, Angie worked for Goodwill Industries of Central Iowa in Des Moines, Iowa as their community resources director. She managed annual PR campaigns, internal/external communications, grant writing/ fundraising, event planning, internship and volunteer programs.

Angie grew up on a farm west of Winterset, Iowa. She graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 1997 with a BA in Public Relations. At UNI, she worked in the Public Relations, Financial Aid and Continuing Education offices, while also writing for the Northern Iowan newspaper. She also met her husband of 26 years at UNI. Matt and Angie have two sons, Logan (22), who is serving in the United States Navy, and Connor (19), who is a college student at the University of Iowa studying creative writing. They have enjoyed traveling over the years, with their favorite trip being a tour of the United Kingdom.
