Marti Neely of Marti Neely Design & Associates (www.martineely.com) was recently presented with two prestigious awards for her efforts in 2021. The Nebraska Nursery and Landscape Association (NNLA) recognized Marti Neely, FAPLD, CPLD, NCNLP, with the 2021 Distinguished Landscape Professional Award. Marti has been a strong supporter of NNLA and helped advance the green industry in Nebraska and nationally. She is always willing to lend a helping hand to new landscapers as they embark on their career. Marti Neely Design & Associates develops designs that are not only functional and meet the unique needs of clients but also support sustainable practices.
In addition, Marti is the winner of the 2021 Harry Schuster Service Award, given to a member in recognition of enthusiasm and selfless efforts toward furthering the mission of the Association of Professional Landscape Designers (APLD), either nationally or internationally. The award honors founding APLD member Harry Schuster, who was known for his enthusiasm for the industry, his energy in recruiting new members, and his desire to mentor many landscape designers. The person who nominated Marti said that her enthusiasm for everything garden and design is surpassed only by her love for and support of APLD! Marti’s long-time work as a leader of APLD has helped develop their certification program and furthered their education efforts.
