Omaha Rehab Facility, Northpoint Recovery Opens New Adult Inpatient Treatment Center

Northpoint Recovery (www.northpointnebraska.com), which specializes in treating addiction and mental health challenges that contribute to substance use, opened a new 44-bed, adult inpatient treatment center in early September. On September 8, a ribbon cutting was hosted with the Greater Omaha Chamber at the new inpatient facility, located at 7215 Ontario St.

The facility, modeled after Northpoint treatment centers in Colorado, Washington, and Idaho, will provide integrated and individualized treatment to address co-occurring physical dependency and underlying mental health conditions. The facility, designed to treat and house male and female patients, will be staffed around-the-clock with medical and nursing personnel and include de-toxification care for acute patients.

The Northpoint Nebraska facility is the first of three care centers planned for Omaha. Later this year, Northpoint will open an adult outpatient treatment center, followed by a separate outpatient treatment facility designed to serve adolescents.

Northpoint utilizes an integrated approach to treatment, and its evidence-based inpatient programs are designed to provide patients with needed care in a safe, comfortable environment. As part of the treatment, patients learn how to identify triggers, avoid relapses, reintegrate into the community, and engage with Northpoint’s unique alumni programming—all with the goal in mind of maintaining long-term sobriety. The staff, led by a board-certified psychiatrist and medical director, is trained to treat a variety of substances, from prescription drugs and opioids to alcohol, meth, and heroin. All three treatment centers will be equipped to accept private, commercial insurance as well as Medicaid.

“Our team of experienced, high-quality professionals led by Dr. Mark Jones are prepared to deliver medical and clinical services to the heartland,” said John Flanagan, president and chief executive officer for Northpoint. “They have one goal in mind – to save lives and restore relationships, encourage healing, mental wellness and sobriety.”
