NAMI Omaha Announces June Public Educational Meeting with LGBTQ+ Speaker

NAMI Omaha’s (namiomaha.org) next Mental Health NAMI Affiliate meeting will be held on Thursday, June 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. This meeting is free and open to the public. Eli Rigatuso will speak at the meeting about the Intersectionality of Mental Health and the LGBTQ+ Identities, as well as on his work with helping local organizations and businesses offer more open and affirming spaces for transgender, non-binary, and gender non-conforming individuals. One of the ways Eli does this is through his web documentary channel, Speaking of Happy. In addition to running this virtual outlet, documenting amazing stories of the LGBTQ+ community, Eli also works full-time at Bellevue University.

These meetings take place the first Thursday of each month at First United Methodist Church, located at 7020 Cass St. in Omaha. Parking is available on the east and north side of the church. Enter through doors #4 or #6 and proceed to room 112.
