Save The Date: Muscular Dystrophy Association to Host 18th Annual Gala

Muscular Dystrophy Association is excited to announce that its 18th annual Gala, “You’re in MDA Country,” presented by Total Respiratory and Rehab will be held on Friday, March 4th at 6:00 p.m. at the Mid America Center.  The chairpersons for this annual event are Mark and Jackie Dix of Council Bluffs, who are tremendous advocates and fundraisers for MDA. The event will feature dinner, live and silent auctions, and dancing.  Dust off your cowboy hats, put on your boots and join the MDA for an event that cannot be missed!

The proceeds from this event will provide services to the nearly 1,200 families in the area affected by any of 43 neuromuscular diseases.  These services include funding for national research programs, a local clinic held at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, support groups, equipment loan closets and assistance with the repairs and modifications of wheelchairs, leg braces and communication devices.  These funds will also be used to help send children ages 6 – 17 affected by neuromuscular disease to MDA summer camp absolutely free of charge!  Overall, MDA fights to give individuals – and the families who love them – strength, independence, and life to help them live longer and grow stronger.

Tickets are available to the public at http://www2.mda.org/omahagala2016 and must be purchased by February 19th. For more information about the upcoming MDA Gala, please visit www.MDA.org or contact Danielle Jelensperger at (402) 390-2914 or djelensperger@mdausa.org.
