American Heart Association to Host Omaha-Council Bluffs Heart Walk May 30

The American Heart Association’s (OmahaHeartWalk.com) annual Omaha-Council Bluffs Heart Walk is taking place on Saturday, May 30. The Heart Walk, which will be held at Stinson Park, is sponsored locally by University of Nebraska Medical Center, Nebraska Medicine, and the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

The Heart Walk is open to all in the community to change the story of heart disease and stroke in Greater Omaha. Those who participate are committed to funding research that keeps hearts beating. By participating in the Heart Walk, people are joining a million Heart Walk Heroes from across the nation raising funds for lifesaving science—science that can teach us all how to live longer and be #HealthyForGood.

The American Heart Association invites people to take a few minutes to consider the lives you are going to help change for the better through your leadership and donations so that the lives of more moms, dads, brothers, aunts, and babies are saved. Join the Heart Walk this month to help keep hearts everywhere beating and take steps to cure heart disease and stroke.

The Heart Walks are now part of the Healthy For Good initiative, which is the American Heart Association’s initiative to inspire all Americans to live healthier lives and create lasting change. It focuses on the simple idea that making small changes today can create a difference for generations to come.

The American Heart Association is the world’s leading voluntary health organization dedicated to being a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives. For more information about registering for the Omaha-Council Bluffs Heart Walk, visit OmahaHeartWalk.com.
