During the Community Foundation of Western Iowa’s (givewesterniowa.org) latest grant funding cycle, CSI was awarded $2,000 to support technology needs at the Herbert J. Lavigne Learning Center on the Children’s Square Campus in Council Bluffs. The Lavigne Learning Center is a specialized educational program serving students in grades 1–12 with significant emotional and behavioral needs.
Grant funding will help strengthen the program’s technology resources by providing access to updated computers, Chromebooks and other essential educational tools. These investments will enhance learning opportunities, support student engagement and equip young people with the technology skills they need for future academic success. Access to technology helps students build critical skills, engage more effectively in the classroom and gain confidence as they prepare for future academic success.
