Promontory Healthcare Companies and Lund-Ross Constructors broke ground in mid-May on a new state-of-the-art transitional care center in the Old Mill area of Omaha.  Lund-Ross Constructors is building the new Old Mill Rehabilitation on a 3.8-acre lot on Papillion Parkway between Dodge and Blondo streets. Construction on the $6.3-million facility is expected to take twelve months, and the center is scheduled to open in spring 2014.  Once complete, Old Mill Rehabilitation, or Old Mill Rehab, will provide transitional rehabilitation and skilled nursing care in a distinct patient-centered and hospitality-driven setting.

Old Mill Rehab is being developed by Mainland Healthcare Development, LLC, a subsidiary of The Mainland Companies, a real estate development and capital advisory firm based in Nashville, Tenn.

Ankrom Moisan Architects of Portland, Ore., is serving as the project architect, and Lamp Rynearson & Associates of Omaha, Neb., is serving as the civil engineer. Construction financing is being provided by Great Western Bank.  Old Mill Rehab will be operated by Promontory Healthcare Companies, a multi-facility management company based in Portland, Ore. Promontory Healthcare Companies specializes in transitional care and operates similar facilities in Oregon and Idaho.

General contractor Lund-Ross Constructors was founded in 1987 in Omaha, Neb. Lund-Ross leads projects across the Midwest in the healthcare, commercial, residential, educational, religious, and public sectors.
