The Strategic Air & Space Museum is proud to offer a FREE Veterans Day program, lunch, and admission on November 11th to all veterans. The program speaker, Major General Roger P. Lempke, is a retired United States Air Force officer. He served as the Adjutant General (TAG) of the Nebraska National Guard from 2000 until 2007. Then, General Lempke acted as Executive Director for the Platte Institute for Economic Research until 2008. The Platte Institute for Economic Research is a research and educational organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for all citizens of Nebraska by advancing sensible, well-researched solutions to state and local economic policy issues. He now serves as the Director of Military Affairs for the U.S. Senate.

Guests should arrive at 11:30 am, and the program will begin at noon with the posting of the colors by the Ashland Legion Post 129 at the Strategic Air & Space Museum located 28210 West Park Highway, Ashland, NE, which is just minutes from Lincoln or Omaha near Interstate I-80 on Exit 426. The general public is also invited to attend; the program and lunch are free with any admission purchase.
