The Sarpy County Chamber of Commerce’s Government Affairs Group is gearing up for another big year. One of the goals of this group is to keep our membership informed on the current legislative sessions and provide the membership opportunities to hear firsthand from the local senators and what legislation they are focusing on during the current session.
The Group finished last year off strong with an Economic Outlook that focused on the growth and infrastructure of Sarpy County and also gave insight into some things we can do to maintain our economic growth. This year they have already hosted their first Legislative Coffee where over 40 attendees got to hear from our local State Senators on what legislation they are supporting in the current session. The next Legislative Coffee will be hosted by Black Hills Energy on March 13th from 7:30-9:00am. We would also like to invite you to Save the Date for April 22nd for the 2015 State of the County. This event will be about what is going on currently in the county and will provide updates on the school districts, the impact of the base on the county, the impact of agriculture on the county and a discussion about what and how you can get involved in shaping the future of Sarpy County.
