In conjunction with the 2014 ICAN Women’s Leadership Conference – Happiness: Bending the Bottom Line – Mayor Jean Stothert officially proclaimed April 9th the first ever Omaha Day of Happiness.
Many area businesses participated in the first Omaha Day of Happiness.
• Immanuel Communities distributed “Happy” bracelets to their residents and employees and is asking their staff to have a conversation with team members about what makes each one of them happy.
• First National Bank employees got involved and joined in the conversation about “what makes them happy,” offering giveaways and a gathering over the lunch hour to celebrate happiness.
• BUNGALOW/8 Hairdressing staff and guests each took a moment to write down something that made them HAPPY on large poster hanging on the wall to spread the happiness message to their guests.
In honor of the Omaha Day of Happiness, ICAN kicked off a community conversation around happiness and how it integrates within our community through a screening of the documentary film “Happy” (http://www.thehappymovie.com/) on April 8th.
The ICAN Women’s Leadership Conference brings together more than 2,000 visionary business leaders to ignite a new conversation in our community and beyond through a day of inspirational keynotes, educational breakout sessions and powerful connections.
