Nebraska Native Launches NaviSavi, First Video-Only Travel App
The Greater Omaha Chamber recently teamed up with Nebraska-native Sally Bunnell to host a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the launch of her new travel platform, NaviSavi ( www.navisaviapp.com), the first video-only travel app. The event took place on June 24 at the corner of 13th and Howard, near the Old Market Emporium. NaviSavi is a short-form video travel app where users can explore, plan, and share their experiences all in one place. The mobile app, also known as The Real Travel Reel, allows users and businesses to post and share unedited travel clips shot directly from a smartphone. All content is user-generated to provide authentic, honest travel experience worldwide.
Sally, founder and CEO, is from Oxford, NE, and she honored her small town values of being honest and genuine with the creation of NaviSavi. As Sally traveled the world, she found that her actual experiences were different from what she saw advertised, and with 95 countries stamped on her passport and YouTube videos reaching over 1 billion views, she wanted to combine travel and short form video into one global platform that helped others with an urge to travel to explore the world with confidence.
NaviSavi launched the app’s first “Featured City” right at home in Omaha during the College World Series, when over 300,000+ fans from across the country arrived for the 12-day event. Each featured city showcases 250+ videos of the most recommended places to eat, sleep, play, explore, and party, by tour companies, influencers, and even locals. Users are able to search, filter, save, and even book from the videos directly with businesses, from a dinner in their hometown or a bucket list experience on the other side of the world.
