Nebraska Medicine – Bellevue Emergency Expansion Complete

Nebraska Medicine – Bellevue opened the seven new rooms that make up its emergency department expansion on January 27, 2016. The 2,119 square feet added to the existing 14 patient rooms will result in a 50 percent increase in patient care space. The Bellevue emergency department was originally designed and built to handle about 20,000 visits per year. In the past year, visits surged to 31,000. With the expansion, the department should be able to comfortably accommodate up to 34,000 visits. On January 26th an open house showcasing the new space was held for employees and physicians.
