MBA’s Annual Ribstock BBQ Festival to Feature 12 Local Vendors

The 2019 Ribstock BBQ Festival (www.ribstockbbq.com) on July 27 is put on by the Millard Business Association (www.millardbusinessassociation.org) to raise money for charitable projects in the community. This year’s event will be from noon to 10 p.m. at Stinson Park, 2232 S. 64th St., and will feature 12 local BBQ vendors, music by Blue House and Eckophonic, an entertainment zone provided by Hines Glow Entertainment, a photo booth by FotoFun, and, new this year, a corn hole tournament sponsored by the Millard Business Young Professionals.

Ribstock has generated thousands of dollars for Project Wee Care and The Scholarship fund, and this year, the Millard Business Community Foundation has added the Food Bank of the Heartland as a benefitting organization. Founded in 1981 and headquartered in Omaha, Food Bank for the Heartland distributes food to 600 food pantries, schools, emergency shelters, and other nonprofit partners. They are the largest food bank in Nebraska and Iowa, serving 93 counties in the two-state region.
