L.I.C. “Local Ice Creamery” Opens in Benson

Changing the way that you eat ice cream is what The L.I.C. is aiming to do. The Local Ice Creamery, which features grass-fed organic ice creams from local farmers, opened Valentine’s Day weekend just west of 48th and Northwest Radial Highway. The L.I.C. along with Daddy’s Neighborhood Fresh Market are proud supporters of the buy-local movement.

The community ice cream shop highlights local farmers and their products, ice cream, coffee, cappuccinos and lattes using milk from grass-fed cows, and offers free WiFi.

The L.I.C. is located at 4809 NW Radial Highway which is in between Daddy’s Neighborhood Fresh Market and Pear Tree Performing Arts. The store hours are Monday to Friday 12 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. with new flavors and products weekly!
