In 2012, the team at Spielbound (spielbound.org) started through hosting pop-up game nights around Omaha – a time when the public was invited to learn and play many different games their volunteers had set up at several tables. Now, it’s 2025, their café has been open for over 10 years and they’re continuing to bring GAME NIGHT back!

Once a month, come to Spielbound on the third Tuesday evening and play games for free with old friends or make new friends! Or join a demo being led by one of their awesome volunteers! No cost to play; they just want more people to play and learn some great games. This month, game night is on Tuesday, April 15, from 6 to 10 p.m. at 3229 Harney St.

You can let them know if you’d like to teach a game, too, as their community is built upon fantastic people volunteering to teach, catalog and help in their mission of providing all people the challenge, art and fun unique to the world of board games. Contact Lily Wang (lily@spielbound.org) if you are interested in volunteering for this monthly event.
