The 5th Annual Kathy Tinley Payne Memorial Golf Tournament hosted by Holmes Murphy & Associates was held on September 18th at Tiburon Golf Club in Omaha, NE.
The funds raised at this year’s event will benefit the CW Youth Resource Center, at 1510 Cass St in Omaha. CW Youth Resource Center is an organization that provides various athletic, mentoring and tutoring outlets for at risk youth, aimed towards keeping them out of gangs. The club has been around since 1978 and houses the city’s largest and most successful boxing club, CW Boxing Club. The organization’s mission is “To develop programs and activities which prevent youth and young adults from becoming involved in negative behaviors. To better utilize his or her energy, in constructive outlets where he or she can gain recognition and positive self-worth.”
In the past four years, over $88,000 in funds raised from this event has benefited the local chapter of the American Cancer Society, the Women’s Center for Advancement, the Child Savings Institute, the Sienna Frances House, and the Open Door Mission.
