Greater Omaha SCORE Receives $1,000 Workshop Grant

Greater Omaha SCORE has received a $1,000 grant from SCORE National.  The purpose of the grant is to assist the local chapter in community outreach through workshops.  David Gregg, SCORE Chair, stated, “We are very excited to receive this grant and look forward to providing workshops in conjunction with our community partners.  Joining with community partners, like the Nebraska Enterprise Fund, helps us provide expanded business information our clients need.”

Workshops are open to SCORE clients and the public.  Workshops include: Social Media, LinkedIn, Email Marketing, QuickBooks, and the Entrepreneur Workshop.    The Entrepreneur workshop is indispensable for start-up businesses, helping them better understand how to structure their business, legal, banking, and insurance issues and provides information on marketing and business planning.  Attending these workshops will help companies get their company off to a solid start. Gregg stated that “We understand the needs of small business and our team is here to help them succeed.”

As well as offering workshops, SCORE provides one-on-one counseling for start-up and small businesses that may need assistance.  The counseling with industry experts is FREE.  Clients can receive multiple business counseling sessions as often as needed.
