Greater Omaha Chamber Applauds Fiserv’s Nebraska Commitment

The Greater Omaha Chamber (www.omahachamber.org) applauded Fiserv, Inc.’s (NASDAQ: FISV) continued commitment to Nebraska, reiterating Omaha’s strength as a financial services hub, and celebrating Fiserv’s recent accolades as FORTUNE’s No. 8 “World’s Most Admired Company for 2021.” On February 5, Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts held a press conference, where he was joined by Frank Bisignano, Fiserv’s president and chief executive officer and board member, who shared the global leader in payment and fintech solutions’ plans for an ongoing presence in Greater Omaha.

“Fiserv’s decision to continue a relationship with the Omaha metro comes in no small thanks to an uncompromising commitment to collaboration and a remarkable history of Fiserv’s presence in Omaha. We congratulate everyone involved in reaching the decision that was announced today,” said Greater Omaha Chamber President and CEO David Brown.

Fiserv, a $15.8 billion global leader in financial services and payments technology, is Omaha’s No. 5 employer, according to the Greater Omaha Chamber. The finance and insurance industry contributed $10.6 billion to Greater Omaha’s GDP in 2019, according to the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis.

Brown said Omaha’s fintech/finance and insurance industry is 70% larger than the national average—with a concentration in payment processing and compliance that is 6.4 times higher than the national average.
