Cosentry Builds Nebraska Medicine Data Center at 50% Cost Savings

Cosentry, the leading provider of IT solutions in the Midwest, has announced that Omaha-based Nebraska Medicine has selected the company to design, construct, and manage a high-density, high-efficiency data center suite in their Omaha data center. The new private suite saved Nebraska Medicine over 50% versus building their own data center facility, and is architected with an innovative in-row cooling solution that will draw 30% less power than a comparable environment designed in a more traditional way.

The organization budgeted for a $13M data center, but found Cosentry could design a more efficient facility for less than half the cost. Using existing space that was already under lease, Cosentry proposed a private suite solution consisting of 140 high-density cabinets along with high-efficiency UPS equipment.

Additional cost savings are realized from Nebraska Medicine utilizing Cosentry’s network management and security services. The added services allow the medical provider to stay focused on delivering healthcare services in lieu of worrying about hardware and software maintenance contracts, compliance adherence, and relentless hacking attacks.

Cosentry has over a decade of experience providing data center services including Colocation, Cloud, Managed Hosting, and Managed Services. Whether virtualizing, consolidating, optimizing, or fully outsourcing data center and IT infrastructure, businesses can rely on Cosentry for help with resilient and versatile solutions.
