Cass County 2018 Capital Investment Exceeds $1.8M

Cass County Nebraska Economic Development Council (CCNEDC) (www.omahachamber.org/economic-development/cass-county-economic-development-council) celebrated a host of collaborative accomplishments at their 2019 Annual Meeting on January 16. Among the county’s notable successes, CCNEDC was proud to announce that more than $1.8 million in capital investment, with 35 new jobs, were realized in the past 12 months. Additional pivotal 2018 Cass County accomplishments included more than 110 building permits, resulting in greater than $20 million in new investments ($15 million of which included single-family homes).

At the event, award recipients were recognized for significant contributions to Cass County through economic growth, support, community involvement, and improvement. Bakers Candies and Superior Sales & Service received the Business Recognition Award, while Jane McDaniel received the Friend in Economic Development Award.
