BBB Torch Awards for Ethics Returns in 2022 to Celebrate Businesses and Charities

The Better Business Bureau (BBB, BBB.org) Torch Awards for Ethics, formerly known as The BBB Integrity Awards, will return in 2022 to honor businesses and charities located in Metro Omaha, Southwest Iowa, the Kansas Plains, and South Dakota on September 21.

The Torch Awards for Ethics focus on a company’s demonstrated ethical business practices. Businesses and charities that have operated under the same ownership for three or more years and have an “A” rating with the BBB are eligible to apply. Independent panels of judges from the business, academic, and charitable arenas will select the award recipients. The BBB is introducing a simplified, digital application process that can be completed online. Virtual application workshops are available to those who are interested, and will be held February 25 from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. and March 25 from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Those interested should reach out to BBB Director of Public Relations & Communications Josh Planos at jplanos@bbbinc.org to reserve a workshop spot.

The Better Business Bureau Torch Awards for Ethics categories will vary based on the size of your business, from businesses with 1-4 employees to businesses with over 500 employees. Similarly, the charity award categories will be separated between charities with 1-24 employees and charities with over 25 employees. Award winners will receive a number of benefits, including recognition as an award winner in press releases, blog posts, social media, local advertisements, and BBB’s website, BBB.org.
