AIM Institute (aiminstitute.org) will honor the achievements of tech professionals and changemakers across Nebraska who have made a profound impact within the local tech community at its annual AIM Tech Awards Presented by Cox Business on Thursday, November 10, 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Founders One | Nine, 1915 Jackson St. The event will recognize individuals for their outstanding tech achievements in the Silicon Prairie.

“Talent retention in our community is a real concern,” said Mike and Jill Thomsen, AIM Tech Awards honorary chairs. “The need to develop and promote talent in technology, particularly diverse talent, is critical for not only retention but for ensuring digital accessibility and equity for all Nebraskans.”

AIM believes in providing individuals, including underrepresented populations, with tech skills, community connections, and personal development to close the gap on the tech professions shortage.

“These innovative tech changemakers boost the business, academic, and nonprofit sectors of our community by creating meaningful opportunities which lead individuals to rewarding careers in tech,” said Denise Natali-Paine, vice president of Cox Business Omaha.

“Our annual awards ceremony and fundraiser will support our programs that provide accessible educational opportunities and career training,” said Kandace Miller, Ph.D., president and CEO of AIM Institute. “We appreciate the continued support of Cox Business as we recognize individuals who facilitate growth and innovation in the communities we serve.”

Tickets are free to the public with a suggested $50 donation. Proceeds will support AIM’s programs. Register at aimtechawards.org.
