Better Business Bureau of the Midwest Plains (bbb.org) will celebrate businesses, nonprofits and leaders committed to doing business the right way at the 2026 Torch Awards Luncheon on Tuesday, Sept. 22, at A View West Shores in Omaha.
The annual event is BBB’s most prestigious recognition program, honoring organizations that demonstrate the Four C’s of Trust: Character, Culture, Customers and Community.
This year’s Nebraska Torch Award honorees include A View Venues, Accurate Books LLC, Core Bank, EverLevel Concrete Repair, Gordian Staffing, Hillcrest Health & Living, Mary the Medicare Lady, NExT Foundation, Riekes Equipment Co., T Square Movers and Thermal Services. As local winners, each organization advances to the International Torch Awards for Ethics, with final selections announced this fall.
The 2026 luncheon will feature several special highlights, including the presentation of BBB’s first-ever Torch Award dedicated to woman-owned businesses. Attendees will also hear from keynote speaker Maggi Thorne, a nine-time American Ninja Warrior competitor and business owner.
BBB will also recognize 20 first-generation, low-income students from across its five-state service area who received BBB Students of Integrity Scholarships. The students will attend the luncheon as honored guests, connecting the event’s focus on ethical leadership with the next generation of community and business leaders.
Doors open at 10:30 a.m., with the program running from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 22, at A View West Shores in Omaha. Tickets are available at bbb.org/omahatorch.
