The Omaha Jaycees and Village Pointe® Shopping Center recognized the 2013 Ten Outstanding Young Omaha (TOYO) Teens at the 9th Annual TOYO Teens Awards Ceremony in May.  The 2013 TOYO Teen recipients are: Molly Berringer of Lewis Central High, Lauren Meyers of Abraham Lincoln High School, Emma Preston of Abraham Lincoln High School, Jimmy Steier of Mount Michael, Molly Bond of Elkhorn High School, Taylor Kupke at Elmwood-Murdock, Megan Hillmer of Fort Calhoun High, Jorge Ayon of Omaha South High School, Ronette Bruner of Lewis Central High School and Jennifer Jones of Concordia Jr/Sr High.  In addition to being recognized, each student received $100 from the Omaha Jaycees, as well as a gift bag from the Village Pointe® merchants.

The TOYO Teens award is based on the prestigious Ten Outstanding Young Omahans (TOYO) awards that began 79 years ago in Omaha. TOYO honors ten individuals ages 21 to 40, who strive for excellence in both the professional and personal arenas and have a strong commitment to service in the community. The Omaha Jaycees and Village Pointe® joined together to create the teen outreach recognition program in 2005.
