If you’re looking for an event that’s different, unique, and a ton of fun, look no further than Tony ‘n’ Tina’s Wedding, currently running at Millard Plaza Ballroom!  We went to the show on Friday night, not really knowing what to expect, and were blown away by this incredibly fun and different type of entertainment. Tony ‘n’ Tina’s Wedding is not your usual theatre show.  Instead, it’s an interactive experience where YOU become a member of the wedding as Tony and Tina’s family and/or friends and get to intermingle with the show’s performers.  As a wedding guest, you get to enjoy a traditional Italian supper, toast the bride and groom, dance and enjoy the madness created around you by the actors.  It’s like attending the craziest wedding ever!

The fun of Tony ‘n’ Tina’s Wedding is the audience participation.  You’re always welcome to get up and dance to the music of Lorretta Black, who plays all your favorite wedding songs like the Chicken Dance, The International Medley, Shout and more.  You’re also welcome to visit with the Nunzio (groom’s) and Vitale (bride’s) families, catch the bouquet or garter and do anything else you would normally do at a wedding where you actually know the people getting married!  However, shy people need not worry about being required to participate.  You can just sit back and enjoy the entertainment knowing that you will never be asked to do anything you don’t want to.

Seating is similar to that of a wedding with tables of eight people.  Groups are seated together and sold on a first come, first serve basis.  You also have the choice (if available) of sitting on the groom’s or bride’s side of the family.  As for proper attire, it’s a wedding!  You are encouraged to dress for the occasion in formal attire, but if you’d prefer to be a little more casual, you can always go with business casual.

Tony ‘n’ Tina’s Wedding is great for a number of different occasions.  If you just want to grab a few friends and have a fun night out, if you’re celebrating an occasion like a birthday or bachelorette or even if you want a corporate event for your employees, Tony ‘n’ Tina’s Wedding is perfect.  The evening can be customized for groups from 25 to 175, you just have to call the ballroom to ask about options!  Tickets are $55 each, which includes dinner, wedding cake, dancing, and, of course, the show featuring music and an outstanding cast of characters.  VIP tickets are also available for $85 and includes dinner, wedding cake, front of the house seating, complimentary antipasto platter, wine, the status of being Tony Sr.’s personal “friends” and a group photo to take home as well as priority dinner service.

Tony ‘n’ Tina’s Wedding is one of the longest continually running shows in history.  The show currently runs at theaters in several cities across the U.S. and originally opened on Valentine’s Day 1988 off-Broadway in New York City, where it is still running.  The Omaha production, a presentation by Bad Dog Productions, had its original run in November 1997 at The Millard Plaza Ballroom.
