At Bankers Trust (BankersTrust.com/Omaha), community is one of their core values and a commitment that extends well beyond financial services. In addition to providing products and services for consumer banking, including checking, savings, and loans, along with private banking, wealth management, commercial banking and treasury services, the Bankers Trust team proudly shares their time and talents to serve the greater Omaha community.

“As a community bank, our greatest investment will always be the people around us,” says Scott Leighton, Nebraska market president. “We prioritize volunteering because we believe strong communities are built through shared commitment and service.”

In 2025, Bankers Trust’s 22 team members:

• Volunteered a collective 1,146 hours with local nonprofits

• Achieved 100% participation in United Way of the Midlands Campaign

• 12 team members (55%) volunteered more than 30 hours

• 9 team members (41%) serve on a board or committee for 18 organizations

While many team members serve on nonprofit boards and volunteer individually, they believe it’s equally import ant to come together and give back as a team. In 2025, team volunteer projects included participating in Keep Omaha Beautiful trash clean up, volunteering at Heartland Hope Mission, filling the pantry at the American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge, and showcasing pinwheels for Child Abuse Awareness Month with Project Harmony.

Bankers Trust opened in Omaha in 2008 as a loan production office and opened its first full-service banking location in the market in February 2025. As part of the bank’s commitment to fostering connections and supporting local initiatives, they have a dedicated community space for nonprofit organizations, small businesses, clients, and other local groups to book for meetings, networking, and workshops. In 2025, they hosted 20 events for nonprofit organizations.

“We proudly display many of our nonprofit partners on a wall in our Bankers Trust Community Room,” says Leighton. “To me, it’s a daily reminder that our team is here to serve and support the organizations that strengthen our communities.”

The Bankers Trust Community Room is available Monday – Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is ideal for groups of up to 75 guests. It features a patio, kitchenette, and built-in audiovisual equipment.
