Workers’ Compensation Association Donates $40K to Kids’ Chance of Nebraska
On April 17, the Workers’ Compensation Association of Nebraska (WCAN) made an incredible donation of $40,000 to Kids’ Chance of Nebraska (kidschanceofne.org) in order to provide financial aid for students applying to colleges who have lost or had parents seriously injured in a work-related accident. The check was presented to the organization during seminar/luncheon held at Anthony’s Steakhouse. The two organizations collaborated on their missions, which allowed both nonprofits to achieve above and beyond what they could have done alone. The funds WCAN donated will go directly to children so that they can pursue higher education, reach their goals, and fulfill their dreams for the future.
WCAN works to educate, network, and provide insight into legislation changes to workers’ compensation professionals. They provide outstanding educational opportunities to the workers’ compensation industry.
Kids’ Chance of Nebraska is a nonprofit organization that raises funds in order to provide educational opportunities to the children of Nebraska workers who have been severely or fatally injured in an employment related incident.
